2017 AMA Nominations: Drake & Kendrick Lamar For Artist Of the Year

Childish Gambino, The Weeknd, Rae Sremmurd, Bruno Mars, Migos and more also picked up nominations.

The nominations for the 45th annual American Music Awards have arrived. On the morning of Thursday (12 October), the singer Ciara delivered the nominees in six categories during an episode of Good Morning America.

This year, Kendrick Lamar and Drake are nominated in several categories, including Artist of the Year, Favorite Artist Rap/Hip-Hop, and Favorite Album Rap/Hip Hop.

In the 2016 do you Love, Drake took home three awards in the Rap/Hip Hop category, including Favorite Song, Favorite Album and Favorite Artist.

Post Malone also led to a nomination for New Artist of the Year, while Migos that " Culture is for Favorite album-Rap/Hip Hop.

Meanwhile, Rae Sremmurd's chart-topping "Black Beatles" single with Gucci Mane, was nominated for Favorite Song — Rap/Hip Hop, along with DJ Khaled, "I am The One" with Lil Wayne, Quavo, the Possibility of the Rapper and Justin Bieber, and Kendrick Lamar monster single, "HUMBLE".

In the Soul/R&B side, Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino and The Weeknd picked up nominations for Favorite Male Artist-Soul/R&B.

Mars' 24K of Magic, the Weeknd the Starboy and Gambino's Awaken My Love!, all were nominated for the Favorite Album in the Soul/R&B category.

The 2017 American Music Awards, which will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 19, at 8 pm EST on ABC. Fans can vote for their favorites online.
