50 Cent "Power" Re-Ups With STARZ Following a Rocky Few Months
"I can't believe that the amount of money you gave me."
50% and the premium cable network STARZ seem to be back on good terms following a seemingly hostile a few months in their relationship.
Fif, who serves as executive producer of the network's hit series the Power, took to Instagram on Tuesday (5 September) to announce that there will be less of a wait for the show of the fifth season and thanks to STARZ for your support (and your money).
50 last words symbolize a change in the direction of the antagonistic comments he made about the network of social media.
At the end of July, 50 threatened to leave the Power for the second time after the show's creator, Courtney A. Kemp, revealed that some of the frames of the fourth season had to be cut off from STARZ refused to greenlight two episodes, despite Kemp's wishes.
In mid-August, the last three episodes of the fourth season was leaked on the internet. 50 later said that STARZ believed that he had orchestrated the leak before apparently fessing up days later.
How much of the 50's antics are just a part of his well-known troll person on social media is still a matter of debate, but either way, he knows how to wake interest in the show.
Despite the seemingly hostile relationship between the 50% and STARZ, the Power continues to be a public success all over the country. Earlier this year it was revealed that the Power was second only to HBO's flagship show Game of Thrones in terms of premium cable show ratings. The premiere episode of the third season accumulated 2.26 million viewers — the highest ever for the STARZ network.
