All join In the #GetOutChallenge, Even Stephen Curry
"Trying to escape from the sunken place."
Leaving is taking the nation by storm and gave Jordan Peele the highest-grossing debut of a black director with $100 million at the box office.
While the film is in the headlines for its discussion of race and its gender-bending of the story, there is one scene that has the internet going crazy. The #GetOutChallenge is based on a moment in which the main character, Chris (played by Daniel Kaluuya) goes outside for a smoke break and is almost run over by the gardener, Walter "exercise" in the middle of the night.
The sensation was started by the Western Illinois University student Kira Donna, who uploaded a video of his friend reenacting the scene. The clip went viral and has accumulated over 3.7 million views since its March 4, load.
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry helped the #GetOutChallenge pick up some momentum with your own video "trying to escape from the sunken place."
