Ashanti Concert Canceled After The Sale Of Only 24 Entries
Not so happy, baby.
Stony Brook, NY – the Pop queen Ashanti may have 3.8 million followers on Instagram and 1.92 million on Twitter, but of course that does not mean much when it comes to getting the fans off the social media and in the stands.
The Murder Inc. the royalty was expected to perform at the University of Stony Brook Back To Brook event at the end of this month. But according to Bossip, the show was terminated after it was sold in just 24 tickets for the concert.
A statement from the school read, "As an organization, we do our best to host programs for students while providing diversity and inclusion. However, we have struggled to run certain aspects. With a week before the concert, only 24 of the tickets sold to the students.
The school went on to explain that I had booked originally Teyana Taylor for the concert, but she pulled out the last minute, leaving the organizers of the race to ascend to the Ashanti as the new head of poster.

Ashanti is currently working on a joint album with his Murder Inc. partner in crime Ja Rule.
"We're going to carve out the time and make it happen," he said in June, during an interview with ET. "It's so funny because we've been talking about that for so long, but I think now he's like, 'OK, now is the time to do it."
Hopefully she has better luck with the album sales.
