The web site also features a new collection of Big L of the goods.

Big L's family have set up Large L Life, a new life style and the merchandise web site created to honor the Harlem lyricist, and continue his legacy.

"It is time to celebrate Big L in the right way," the website bio states. "The Big L Estate launches BIGLLIFE.COM, a web lifestyle in honor of Hip Hop Legend Lamont 'Big L' Coleman."

The family hopes the website will help to introduce Diggin' In The Crates of a member of the music to a younger generation of listeners.

"BIGLLIFE.COM it is a web site dedicated to continuing the Big L legacy through the introduction of his music to the younger generation. The site will also include an official line of merchandise licensed by the Big L Family".

The collection features t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and headbands, most of which have Large L stamped on the front.

The income from the merchandise sold will go to the funding of after-school programs in Harlem and throughout the City of New York.

Big L was shot and killed on February 15, 1999. Despite the fact that his murder remains unsolved, authorities, as well as many of those in the know – have believed for a long time his murderer, Gerard Woodley. Woodley was a close friend of Big L, brother, Leroy "Big Lee" Phinazee, and is supposed to have enacted the revenge of Big L, after a dispute with his family.

Woodley died in the Harlem Hospital Center in June of 2016, after being shot in the head near 106 W. 139th St.
