Birdman On Lil Wayne: "It's Just A Strange Relationship"
"We gon' continue doing what we have started. It's important to me that I'm going to finish the way I started."
Birdman and Lil Wayne have been hanged in public in the last few weeks, leading to speculation that there was a meeting between the two. In a new interview with Beats 1 of the Radio Ebro Darden, the Cash Money Records co-founder shed light on his complicated relationship with Weezy.
During the conversation, Birdman reiterated his desire to resolve its many years of conflict with Wayne and observed how his legal battle was affecting their families.
"It is so many parts, but I'm not gon' let it just lay like that," he said. "No ... I'm not worrying about it benefiting me. He deserves that from me, and I'll give you that. We gotta get this shit together, 'cause that is affecting our children. And that's not cool at all."
Despite the problems between his parents, Birdman and Wayne children have maintained a good relationship. In fact, the "Milli" MC has remained close to the Hip-Hop mogul of the sons in the midst of legal wranglings, making a strange dynamic.
"His daughter is my godchild," he continued. "I love her to death. [She is] my favorite. But, guess what, they all talk about. My children speak with their children. He talk to my children all the time. It's just a strange relationship, but it is solid."
In another part of the interview, Birdman shared his views on Drake and called Nicki Minaj the best female ever in the history of Hip Hop.
