Chance The Rapper, Wiz Khalifa & Wu-Tang Clan, Announced That The Governors Ball, 2017 Line
The Wu-Tang Clan, Chance The Rapper, Logic, and Wiz Khalifa are among the Hip-Hop notables to perform.
The City of new York, New York – Summer is the time for big music festivals, and this coming month of June, the Governors Ball in New York will be the place to be. The star-studded lineup was officially announced Wednesday morning and there are a good number of Hip Hop favorites.
During two days, starting on the 2nd of June, the crowds will flock to New York's Randall's Island Park to take in the festivities. Gracing the stages will be the likes of the Wu-Tang Clan, Chance The Rapper, Wiz Khalifa, and Danny Brown.
The Hip Hop luminaries list continues with a$AP Ferg, Schoolboy Q, Rae Sremmurd, and Skepta rounded rest. They will be accompanied by the Tool, Lorde, Phoenix, Channel, and Childish Gambino, who may or may not spit a couple of bars that night taking into account your new creative direction. Tickets for the big event go on sale at 12 pm E. T. this Friday, January 6, so get ready.
Last year's Governors Ball was met with a few climate-related issues, which overturned the sets from Kanye West, Vic Mensa and others. To the west, in search of pleasing the fans, attempted to host a secret pop-up in Webster Hall, which never really got off the ground due to the logistics of trying to surprise a city of millions of people.
The Governors of the Ball ad comes on the heels of Coachella announcing their own 2017 poster for the April festival in Indio, California. Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, and Beyoncé have been named as the headlining acts of the double-weekend showdown. Travis Scott, Future, Mac Miller, DJ Khaled, Tory Lanez and many other stars thrill audience during the weekend of April 14-16 and April 21-23.
