Charlamagne Tha God Denies The Allegations Of Sexual Assault

The Breakfast Club host has lawyered after the 2001 sexual assault case, was brought back to the light.

Charleston, SC – Charlamagne Tha God has lawyered after the 2001 sexual assault case, was brought back to the light. On Wednesday (July 11), a petition was presented calling for its termination in The Breakfast Club, but the iHeartRadio host adamantly denies any misconduct.

TMZ spoke with Charlamagne's lawyer Marty Singer, who explained that "More than seventeen years ago, Charlamagne was accused of a sexual assault. He never had sex or any physical contact with the accuser, and even offered DNA to prove it. At the time of these statements, Charlamagne cooperated fully with the authorities, and after investigation, this charge against him was dropped.

"Charlamagne has spoken of this many times over the years in the public, including in his book. While Charlamagne has empathy for all the victims of sexual assault, can not assume the responsibility for a crime he did not commit."

In accordance with the law docs obtained by The Explosion, then 22 years of age Charlamagne was accused of "willfully, unlawfully, and feloniously engage in penile/vaginal intercourse with a fifteen year old girl."

Charlamagne, pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor to have alcohol at a party where the alleged incident took place. He was sentenced to three years of probation, but the charge of sexual assault was dropped.

Now that the accuser Jessica Reid is 32, she wants the criminal case open. She reports that it has not "been able to get over him" and wants to "close". Reid said the mother of The Explosion she was trying to protect her teenage daughter from suffering, and encouraged her not to cooperate with the prosecution.

In 2001, a police report from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, according to the report, says Reid and a friend were brought in for a short stay at the Naval lodging in Charleston, South Carolina, and a liquid that tasted like baking soda.
