Coolio Running For The Vice-Presidency To The Porn Star In The 2020 Election

His campaign slogan? "To Make America Awesome Again."

Los Angeles, CA – Coolio is getting ready to enter the world of politics.

The 54-year-old Compton-native, who won a Grammy for his 1995 hit "Gangsta's Paradise," has plans to run as Vice president in the year 2020 along with Cherie DeVille, an adult film star that wants to "Make America awesome again."

DeVille and Coolio first announced his plans to run for office in August. To the couple of the campaign was released through what seemed to be an association with porn site FuckingAwesome.com that left many to question the legitimacy of their policies offer.

What at first appeared to be a publicity stunt of sorts now seems to be a legitimate venture that both DeVille and Coolio are those who devote themselves to with gusto.

In an attempt to legitimize their political efforts, the couple launched a new web site — PornstarForPresident.com — that the details of their positions on a variety of key issues such as health, immigration and the legalization of marijuana.

"DeVille Coolio 2020 is the response to the disaster of our country," the website states. "8 months in the Triumph of the presidency and we are on the brink of a nuclear war, and there are nazis marching in the streets, it is time for change."

DeVille and Coolio recently spoke with KESQ, a local CBS affiliate for the Coachella Valley, about his political aspirations.

"If we're pulling away from choose only the politicians that our highest offices, then I believe that as a small celebrity in my own right, it would be a good choice for the American people and, at this point, for the world in general," DeVille said.

Coolio added, "Someone has to do something, man. Someone was able to prove. We need normal people. We need normal, regular, every day people in the office."
