CyHi The Prynce Explains Split With G. O. O. D. Music

Somewhere between LL Cool J's famous phrase, "is not a comeback, I been here for years," and Ludacris' Back For the First Time the album title is the perfect description for the rapper from Atlanta CyHi The Prynce's debut LP, Not of the Drug On Sunday. CyHi has been around for years, but was never granted the proper marketing or implementation that is often a requirement for any young artist-the entry into the machine of a major record label.

After years of complications, and the lawyers of the observation of the lawyers, the writer with the Midas touch, finally got a shot to show the world what the brain behind so many other artists hit songs you can do when the pencil and the performer.

"It is a blessing to be here for this moment, to be able to get the album finally," he told HipHopDX during a recent episode of #DXLive. "The fans have been waiting for a long time. I've always had mixtapes that sounded like albums, but it was never anything official that I could show a label if I wanted to work with me, they could see the numbers. So, I think that this is the first time that you can actually put points on the board and people can really see, and we can now obtain the resources they need to do what we have to do."
