While Donald Glover not to mention in any of the episodes of the plots, he made a comment about the less gloomy tone of his third round: "I align the seasons I think, to me, as Kanye records. I feel that this is our Graduation. This is probably one of the most accessible, but also the ideal — an honest version of it — and I feel like the more pleasant, like the third album."
Donald and his brother Stephen, who is an executive producer and writer of the series, both expressed what all involved are trying to overcome continuously, which has made the process more enjoyable.
At another time, during the panel, Lakeith Stanfield confessed he thought his character, Darius, was going to be replaced by Tracy, played by Khris Davis.
"I was completely convinced that Tracy was going to take my place. I thought Darius was going to die off and then Tracy would come back," he said.
He continued, "One of the things about this show that I love is that it is well to be the next in danger all the time. You don't know what's going to happen next, and you're not sure. So I was willing to sacrifice myself."
The Director, Hiro Murai, below, said: "Keith, I hate to tell you this, but in reality he died in the 'Teddy Perkins' episode." Stanfield, then replied, "I will return [in] Season 3 as a ghost."
