Donald Glover's "Atlanta" Racks up Multiple Nominations at the Emmy awards
It was also nominated for his "SNL" episode.
The 2018 nominations the Emmy awards are in and — as expected — Donald Glover, of Atlanta, and racked up several nominations in the comedy category.
For the second year in a row, the critically acclaimed show is up for Outstanding Comedy Series, while Glover is nominated in the Outstanding Writing In A Comedy Series category for two episodes, "Man's Cayman" and "the Barbershop."
Both Glover and Hiro Murai nabbed nominations In the Outstanding Directing In A Comedy Series category.

In addition to Glover, Brian Tyree Henry is nominated for Outstanding supporting Actor for his role as the Paper Boi, Zazie Beetz is nominated for Outstanding supporting Actress for her role as Van and Katt Williams is nominated for his guest role as Willy in the "Man Cayman" episode.
Last year at the ceremony, Glover took home the award for best lead Actor In A Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing In A Comedy Series — the first time the award was granted to an african-american director.
Beyond Atlanta, Glover is also an Outstanding Guest Actor award for his SNL hosting, which was the launch pad for his huge single "This Is America".
