Chicago, IL – From the greeting reference points, such as Harold's Chicken, or "The Track" to convey the meaning of "foot work" and the Bulls, Zaena x Jason Maek new "get Right" video is the ideal Chicago inner city culture of the experience.
"This song and visual are both fun and insightful," Maek, who directed the video, which blends both Hip Hop and house music (also a Chicago staple), says to HipHopDX. "The majority of people only hear about the negative effects of the inner city of Chicago culture. Zaena and I wanted to remind the world that there are a lot of amazing bright spots."

Even with the buoyant feeling of the track, "Get Right" doesn't shy away from the ills that still afflict the City of the winds, of the communities. The brutality of the police, the country's current political climate, and student debt are all highlighted, especially resonates with Zaena that is identified as a Libyan refugee.
"Despite the fact that my family moved here for a better life, America still suffers from many problems of my country now experiences ranging from political corruption, the brutality of the police," she says. "It was important for me to the point that, in hopes of starting a conversation to create change."
"Get Your Right" follows the recently HipHopDX-premiered the video for "get To Work", which received nearly 200,000 views in the first week, generated more than 30 reaction videos on YouTube and was chosen by MTV and MTV2.
