Eminem Celebrates the "Marshall Mathers LP 2" Anniversary

Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin get honorable mentions.

Detroit, MI – Eminem was apparently feeling a bit of nostalgia over the weekend. The famous MC jumped on Twitter to remember 2013 Marshall Mathers LP 2, which crossed the five years of this important event on Monday (November 5).

"It's been 5 years since me, @RickRubin and @drdre created this 'Monster'! #MMLP2", he wrote..focused on the ad {

The Marshall Mathers LP 2 served as Em's eighth studio album and was designed to act as the sequel to the 2000 original. With Skylar Grey, Rihanna, Nate Reuss, and then-less-well-known, Kendrick Lamar, the project debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 and marked the second best selling album sales of 2013.

Also took home the honor for Best Rap Album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Em tenth and most recent album, Kamikaze, also debuted at No. 1 upon its release and was wobbled on more than 434,000 total album equivalent units in its first week.

In February, the RIAA called the Slim Shady its second most successful singles artist of all time.
