The increase in mass shootings has people in a state of maximum alert.

Manchester, TN – Eminem is no stranger to controversy, but this time, it has nothing to do with the content of his lyrics.

Slim Shady has been the subject of scrutiny by the use of a gunshot sound effect during his set on the 2018 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Saturday (9 June). The rap superstar used the sound effect several times in his performance, which scares some people at the concert in the light of the frequency of mass shootings in the united States.

Disappointed in @Bonnaroo to allow gun shots in @Eminem's set. So much for #radiatepositivity. #GunControl #PTSDawareness pic.twitter.com/UsKpCWLX9o

Several Twitter users expressed their outrage and disappointment by Eminem. Some of the attendees said that she left the festival because of its use of the sound effect.

Honestly, fuck Eminem. Added triggers to your set. He had to leave. So nasty and in bad taste. Shame on you.

I was having a good time in eminem's set and then played a realistic gunshot noise. the entire crowd ducked and I've never felt more traumatized and ready to panic. completely inappropriate

it doesn't matter if eminem has had a gun shot effects in the past, the crowd was really scared and agitated because of how really realistic it is

Literally just lost all respect for @Eminem . You're seriously going to set off shooting of firearms at a festival?? Literally, so many people were scared and left the set immediately... I know you haven't done in forever, but continue with the current problems friend.
