The City of new York, NY – 31 years removed from the debut album by EPMD rapper and producer Erick Sermon drops his eighth studio album, Vernia — an album named after his Grandmother. Their first release in four years, has a special aura that surrounds it. Not only is riding an incredible cast, but it is also his first fully independent release.

"My grandmother, who died almost three years ago," he tells HipHopDX in the title of the project. "She was my best friend and, for some reason, I kept thinking about it during the process of the album.".centered-ad {

The 13-song album has an interesting list of songs by lesser-known artists to his side as legacy acts, ranging from Too $hort and did xzibit for AZ, and (surprisingly) Shaquille O'neal.
