Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion & More Hitting Houston’s Storm Trenches For Relief Giveaway & Aid

The devastating ice storm left millions without power in the state for days and without drinking water.

Gunna is joining a list of artists across the country including Megan Thee Stallion in finding ways to assist people in Houston and across the state of Texas in need.

Following a devastating ice storm which crippled the state’s electric grid and prompted residents to go without power or clean water for days, the “Drip Too Hard” rapper announced the Houston Relief GOODR Popup taking place on Sunday (February 28) at Worthing High School from 1 to 5 p.m. The event is to aid those in need with free groceries, water, baby supplies, household items and much more.

Additionally, native Houstonian Megan Thee Stallion has shared a resources bank on her website for those needing assistance from local outlets.

The aftermath of the storm left numerous homeowners in Houston with busted pipes and flooded homes. Numerous officials who were on the board of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which manages Texas’ power grid, resigned following the historic storm after facing backlash for lack of preparedness and regulation.

In the midst of the storms, Texas’ junior Senator Ted Cruz briefly left the state to fly to Cancun, Mexico.
