Hip Hop Album Sales: Eminem, "Kamikaze" arrives At No. 1 On the Billboard 200 With Epic Debut

In addition, Travis Scott's "Astroworld" remains at No. 2, while Blac Youngsta's "F*ck the world 2" mixtape, makes its entry table.

Eminem is Kamikaze has been in the Billboard 200 chart at no. 1 for the week that ended on 6 September. Each album has been published since the year 2000 and premiered at the top, including 2017 of the Renaissance.

Later, Slim Shady is one of only two rappers to have nine consecutive No. 1 debuts. JAY-Z is the only other MC to have achieved this feat with 14 back-to-back No. 1 debuts.

In other places in the chart, Travis Scott Astroworld is stable at No. 2, while Nicki Minaj is the Queen moves from No. 5 to No. 7.

Drake, the Scorpion also remains at the No. 3 position and Blac Youngsta F*ck All 2 enters in the Top 100.

Eminem launched Kamikaze on August 30, with zero warning, much to the delight of their fans. The 13-track album found Shadow spitting venom at his critics and blasting rappers like Lil Bomb, Machine Gun Kelly and Joe Budden.

All that energy has paid off and Em is the ninth studio album is in the list Billboard 200 of the coveted place with 433,575 total album equivalent units (251,692 in pure album sales and streaming count 225,534,818).

This is Em's second No. 1 debut in less than a year. The revival hit the chart at no. 1 following its December 2017 release, but with a lot less sales. In its first week, the Revival sold approximately total 267,000 album equivalent units.

Kamikaze also marks the fourth largest of the week and the third largest sales week for any album in 2018. Is Eminem's biggest streaming week for an album as well.
