Hip Hop Album Sales: Gucci Mane Sold More Than Wu-Tang Clan On The Billboard 200 Debuts

In addition, Tech N9ne's "Strange Reign" also makes its debut.

The unstoppable Gucci Mane just married Keyshia Ka oir last week and now, the Atlanta super rapper's new album, Mr. Davis, is sitting at #2 on the Billboard 200. Gucci comes from behind the singer P!nk, who took home the coveted #1 spot with his new project Beautiful Trauma (featuring Eminem) for the week ended October 19.

Elsewhere on the chart, Wu-Tang Clan-Wu Tang: The Saga Continues with debuts in the #15 while independent rap titan Tech N9ne and his Collabos project, Strange Reign, comes in the #61 for your first week on the chart.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie of the greatest Artist takes a 21 percent dip, and Lil Pump self-titled debut album drops 34 per cent, but both are still in the Top 10. Post Malone Stoney, Lil Uzi Vert of the Luv Is Rage 2 and Kendrick Lamar DAMN. they all maintain their relatively high placements as well.

Last week the #1 album, NF Perception, was reduced in 68 percent of the land in 25th place.

Gucci Mane is without a doubt one of rap's great success stories. After serving time in prison, the Atlanta native re-emerged ready to take on the world. From its May 2016 release from prison, he dropped several albums, weight loss, married, and has written a book — The Autobiography of Gucci Mane.

His most recent project, Mr. Davis, continues its streak of victories, marking this week's highest rap debut album. Boasting 70,383 total album equivalent units sold (20,872 in pure album sales and a staggering number of streaming count 68,736,497, Mr. Davis is at #2 behind P!nk Beautiful Trauma.
