Hip Hop Album Sales: Mac Miller "Swim" Makes a Huge Leap On the Billboard 200

In addition, Eminem's "Kamikaze" lands at No. 2, and Russ' "Zoo" makes its grand entrance.

Sir Paul McCartney was able to hit Eminem Kamikaze from the number 1 up to number 2 on the Billboard 200 during the week that ended September 13. Despite the fact that 69 percent drop in sales, Slim Shady put up a good fight against the ex-Beatle and came within 17,000 total album equivalent units of recovery of the no. 1.

In other places in the chart, Mac Miller Swimming see a huge increase in sales after his untimely death, and lands in the Top 10, while Russ's latest album Zoo makes a strong debut in the Top 5.

Meanwhile, $uicideBoy$ and their desire to Die In New Orleans project hits in the chart runs in the No. 9 with 45,674 total album equivalent units, 30,671 pure album sales and streaming count 21,654,427.

Mac Miller died on the 7th of September, about a month after the release of Swim — its fourth, and what became their last studio album.

In the wake of his death, the sales have done a 634 percent increase. The project lands at No. 6 with 67,086 total album equivalent units, 14,756 pure album sales and streaming count 66,720,973, up from no. 71 last week.

News of Miller's unexpected death has sent shock waves throughout the music industry. A public vigil was held at the Blue Slide Park in his hometown of Pittsburgh last Tuesday.
