While there was a bit of confusion as to who won Best picture at the Oscars last night, there is no doubt who is running the rap game this week as the Future comes another #1 placement on the Billboard Top 200. The Weeknd, Migos, and Big Sean follow in the Top 10, while the Probability of The Rapper and Beyoncé still maintain the numbers of its Grammy boost. Jidenna and Fat Joe and Remy Ma make appearances down at the table, with the debut of its Head and Silver or Lead albums, respectively. But we already knew that Remy the chart of foot...
The Future Is #1 Now
The future has scored his third #1 album with the FUTURE. The self-titled LP sold an impressive 140,352 equivalent album units with more than 60,000 sales of albums and 109 million of current dollars. This is the Atlanta star's third #1 solo album, after Dirty Sprite 2 and EVOL. His joint project with Drake, What a Time to be Alive, also led the list in 2015 release.
Jidenna Debuts At #38
Jidenna leads the #38 spot with her debut album, The Boss. The project pushed 13,312 units with 8,387 albums and 6 million current dollars. None of these figures include the sales of his hit single "Classic Man," that does not appear on the album. The song peaked at #22 on the Hot 100 in 2015.
Fat Joe & Remy Ma Are Some Of The On #44
Fat Joe and Remy Ma of the Silver or Lead album lands in the #44 spot in its debut week with 11,95 units. The Terror Squad rappers failed to deliver on the hype of lead single "All the Way", which got nominated for the Grammy. The 7,070 sales of albums and 5.6 million sequences of fodder for Nicki Minaj clapping back at Remy after his scathing "SHETHER" diss track. DX was not very impressed with the Silver as a whole and gave it a 3.2 rating.
