Hip Hop Unites: Drake, Nicki Minaj, Diddy And More Join Forces To Help The Victims Of Hurricane

The world of Hip Hop was well represented during the night of Tuesday (September 12) fundraising telethon, "hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane relief."
One-hour broadcast – hosted by Bun B and Scooter Braun – saw stars of all areas of entertainment to come together to help raise money for the victims of Hurricane Harvey and the Hurricane Irma, whose extreme weather conditions have caused havoc across large parts of Texas, Florida and the Caribbean in the last two weeks.
The live show – which was broadcast simultaneously by more than a dozen networks, including ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC – featured appearances and special messages of support from a variety of Hip Hop stars, while Usher teamed up with Blake Shelton for a moving performance of Ben E. King's soul classic "Stand By Me".
Beyoncé, Drake and Will Smith all sent pre-recorded messages of support, while Jamie Foxx, Justin Timberlake and Sean "Diddy" Combs all appeared live in the studio to encourage viewers across the nation to donate whatever they could.
A number of Hip-Hop personalities also joined other luminaries of the entertainment world to respond to the calls of people who want to donate, including Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Questlove, Vic Mensa, and DJ Khaled, who responded to the call, while his son, Asahd, sat down on his lap.
