Hip Hop Week In Review: Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly Sim & Lil Wayne "Carter V" Update

HipHopDX – This week in Hip Hop, Machine Gun Kelly felt the wrath of Eminem when Slim Shady dropped a new diss track. Also, progress was made for Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V release, and Mac Miller fans remembered him on the Blue Slide Park in Pittsburgh.

Eminem responded to Machine Gun Kelly in the thesis registration "Rap Diablo" with "Killshot", and offers a lot of insults and the tone of his joke involving MGK the boss of Diddy in Tupac's murder.

Em also chopped it with Sway Calloway about his surprise Kamikaze release and explained some of his jabs, including that of Tyler The Creator.

"I was angry when I said that shit about Tyler," he explained. "The fact that every time I saw this guy, he was always cool to you. I loved his energy. Was a fun friend and he is super charismatic and shit. But I'm sitting there like, 'Man, at what point I have to say something to defend myself?'"

Lil Wayne highly anticipated album Tha Carter V is reported to drop September 21, according to Hot 97. Weezy's team has not announced a definitive date, but they did share the cover art on social media. Billboard reports the album will introduction touch in Wayne's suicide attempt, dating back to when he was 12 years of age.
