The reunion of the two Brooklyn natives seems to mark a turning point in his long career in the beef.
Chicago, IL – JAY-Z and Jaz-O seem to have turned a corner in his long career in the beef. The two Brooklyn natives were photographed together backstage at JAY-Z 4:44 stop Tour in Chicago on Tuesday evening (December 5).

The gap between JAY-Z and Jaz-O – who is often regarded as Jigga's mentor in the rap game – it is said that it started when Jaz refused to sign to hov's Roc-A-Fella Records imprint in the early 2000s. There were rumors that Jaz does not rely on the label's then-ceo, Damon Dash, and that he was not satisfied with the money that is offered. JAY-Z subsequently fed to the last rumors about The Model 3 of the track, "What We Talkin'".
"Dame made millions, even Jaz made some scraps/ He could have done more, but do not sign your contract", JAY-Z rapped.
It was also widely speculated that Jaz-O supplied Nas with some of the information that it uses in its iconic JAY-Z diss track "Ether", although this has never been confirmed.
While the two exchanged a series of spikes in the wax through the years, JAY-Z has continued to credit Jaz-O for your success. This was in evidence on "I Do It For Hip-Hop," a track from Ludacris' 2008 album, Theater of the Mind, where Jigga raps: "Thank God for Kool Herc Without your shit I probably would've got merked/ Shout out to Grandmaster Flash and to Caz/ And even Jaz bum-ass."
