Joyner Lucas Bodies Lil Pump In Its Own "Gucci Gang" Beat
"All these new rappers don't speak 'bout shit except drugs, I ask, do you have a name?"
Joyner Lucas says that he does not need to hit record because he just had to jump in someone unique and do it better. That is exactly what the Massachusetts-born lyricist has proclaimed in his new remix of Lil Pump, "Gucci Gang," which makes a mockery of the rising star of Florida.
The provocation remix comes just a few days after Luke, ""I am Not a Racist" video was viral. The shooting is not limited to the Pump despite the fact that, as Luke also has a problem with all opioids reference rapper. He condemns the similarity of their music and wish them bad on the track.
"What is a Lil Bomb to a rocket called?/ Turn your pink dreadlocks in the pocket change/ All these new rappers don't be talking shit except drugs, I ask, do you have a name?/ Drinking lean, taking E, Percocet, purple drank, Xanax, all of the same sound/ Lot of drug addicts in the house of pain/ I Hope you niggas to suffer until you burst a vein," Luke raps.
Luke previously took aim at some of his competition in the Hip Hop remix to Future's "Mask." He told HipHopDX that the song makes reference to the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Logic and its origin was more about the competition.
The "Gucci Gang" remix is not all about verbal jabs. When not throwing slangs at other rappers, and laments his label's desire for a catchy record, the lyrical dynamo is putting on an exhibition of rewind-worthy bars and the use of a rapid-fire flow.
