Kanye West, Common And Vic Mensa Represent In #MarchForOurLives Rally

Common, Kanye West, Vic Mensa and more standing in solidarity in the main event.

Washington, DC – Thousands of people descended on Washington DC for the March For Our Lives rally on Saturday (24 March), including Kanye West, Common, and Vic Mensa.

Mensa and Common (along with Andra Day) performed at the event, while Ye was there with his wife, Kim Kardashian-West and their daughter North.

The movement was triggered by the recent Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, that claimed the lives of 17 people. It was one of the deadliest school massacres in modern history.

The event was organized by the students and the nonprofit organization Everytown for Gun Safety. They have the hope that this will lead to stricter gun control.

The DC function inspired in cities across the country hosted rallies of their own. From Los Angeles to New York City, a number of people were mobilized in solidarity.

Those who could not attend the various events took their support to the means of social communication. From DJ Khaled Snoop Dogg, the Hip-Hop community represented.
