Kendrick Lamar Recalls Mac Miller: "You Always Kept A Smile On His Face"

K. Dot pays tribute to a special episode of Complex's "Open Late With Peter Rosenberg".

Tributes to Mac Miller have been pouring in since his death, including a memorial service at Blue Slide Park.

Kendrick Lamar, who collaborated with Miller on topics such as "God Is Just, Sexy, Nasty" and "Fight The Feeling," you have joined the many rappers showing love to the late MC. In a video for the Complex is Open until Late With Peter Rosenberg, K. Dot remembers his friend and collaborator.

"[It was] a great musician, great writer," Lamar says in the clip. "He always had a smile on his face and that is something that I applaud. No matter what was going on, he feels no pity for him. He was strong about it. Always keeps a smile on his face, because he wanted him to smile also. And that is something that he always loved."

He continues, "No matter what the personal problems gave him that power. There was no misery loves company with him. He showed a smile, and gave him that smile back. It made you feel good. So for we always gon' remember the life, we gon' remember this smile. To Celebrate Mac Miller. The love".

Miller died on the 7th of September at the age of 26. Just a month before, he released his fifth album of study of the Swimming.

Open until Late it airs Wednesday at 7 pm ET in the Resort's YouTube channel.
