Kevin Gates Feels "Interrogated" During Awkward Post-Prison Interview
"How long do we have to do this?"
Kevin Gates was released from prison in January, but seven months after release, there still seems to be adjusting to normal life.
During a recent interview with The los Angeles 92.3 The Real DJ Hed and Bootleg Kev — his first since he left prison, things quickly take an awkward turn when the Doors to feel uncomfortable about the questions asked.
"Look, I'm not tryin' to be short with you, but I really wasn't prepared for any interview," he says in around four minutes. "I'm working on right now. Luca Brasil 3, that is all I can think about right now."
From there, Doors start to look at your phone as the radio presenters trying to press. Soon short Bootleg Kev and asks, "Ayy, there is not a lack of respect, how much time do we have to do this? I just got out of jail, I didn't even have time to transition and I feel like I'm being interrogated ... As I'm talking with a lawyer."
Doors returning to the subject of the new music, and try to keep the focus on your Luca Brasil 3 of the project. He also says that he is an introverted person and do not have or want friends.
"Hey, I'm me," he says. "If you are real, I fuck with you. If you fake, fuck you. I move by myself. I'm not a tough guy. it's just me and God."
For another seven minutes, the radio presenters attempt to get Doors to open, but remains tight-lipped.
The Baton Rouge-bred rapper has made other awkward interviews in the past, so that is not a great surprise this did not go so well.
