Lauryn Hill Addresses Chronic Tardiness In The Letter Of Apology To The Fans Of Atlanta
"No, I don't want to be late to the shows because I don't care," Lauryn Hill says why she is always late to their own shows.
Atlanta, Ga - Lauryn Hill-crazed Atlanta attendees to the concert on Friday (May 6) after she left them waiting for over two hours to see a lackluster performance resulting in a brutal social media dragging. It addresses the situation in a long letter of apology on Facebook.
In the letter, she explained why she is often late, blaming the creative process of your lack of punctuality. Even offers a solution for the time she needs to gather herself before the performance.
"No, I don't want to be late to the shows because I don't care", Lauryn Hill wrote. "And I have nothing but Love and respect for my fans. The challenge is to align my energy with the time, to take something that is not easy to classify or content, and trying to make it available to others. I don't have an on/off switch. I'm at my best when I'm open, relaxed, sensitive, and freed to express myself as truthfully as possible."
In recent years, Lauryn Hill has come to be known as an artist who usually arrives late to his own shows. She was also a no-show for this year's Grammy awards, where he was scheduled to perform alongside The Weeknd. Hill, finally, made up for his absence at the Grammys with a surprise performance of "In The Night" with The Weeknd on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Even though she did perform her set at the Chastain Park Amphitheater, his microphone was cut off at 11 pm sharp. Lauryn has promised to return to Atlanta, with plans to make for his delay, and will announce the details when they find out.
