Mac Miller of the Family Warns Fans About Fake Memorial Events

Just a fair warning.

Los Angeles, CA – From Mac Miller to pass in September, friends and family have joined together to give the fans ", A Celebration Of Life" benefit concert. But this is not the only memorial event that was held the 26-year-old Pittsburgh native.

Several "fraudulent" fund-raising events, which have emerged claiming to have links with the fall of rapper, forcing the Miller's family to issue a statement about these events, Complex reports.

"The family of Malcolm McCormick, better known to the world as Mac Miller, has become aware of a number of events fraudulent recently announced under the pretext of raising funds for the causes in his name," a family rep shared on Wednesday (October 10). "It should be known that the only sanctioned event for your family and contribute to The Mac Miller Circles Background is the Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life, an event that will take place in Los Angeles on October 31. Although the intention of continue to celebrate the life of Malcolm through these efforts is appreciated, it is important that you know to the payment of the fans, which of these are official or not."

At the end of this month, Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life is set to go down at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. The show will feature performances by Travis Scott, SZA, Vince Staples, Ty Dolla $ign, and many more. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Mac Miller Circles to the web site of the Fund, whose goal is to help young people in marginalized communities, providing them with valuable resources.
