"Martin" Cast Meeting Sparks A Reboot Rumors
Tisha Campbell-Martin also dropped a new single with a Guy called "I Don't Wanna be Alone."
Burbank, CA –
Tisha Campbell-Martin has sparked rumors of a possible for Martin to restart after it published an Instagram photo with former co-star Martin Lawrence on Thursday (1 February). TMZ also saw the two coming out of a steakhouse restaurant in Burbank together earlier Thursday, along with his partner Martin actress Tichina Arnold.
To add fuel to the fire, Lawrence's wife-to-be Roberta Moradfar published a Martin logo Instagram the 26 of January with the title, "has the word from my boyfriend that my favorite program, it can be again."
When asked about the post in an interview with HipHollywood, Campbell-Martin responded, "I can't tell you anything ... But it is very exciting."
Martin went off the air in 1997. During the final show of the season, Campbell-Martin refused to shoot scenes with Lawrence after accusing him of sexual harassment.
If the reboot show is in the works, there is an actor that would be noticeably absent. The former co-star Tommy Ford, who played "Tommy", passed away in October of 2016, at the age of 52.
Campbell-Martin, who played "Gina" in the hit, has also returned to the music scene. On Thursday (February 1), she released a new single, "I don't Want to Be Alone", with Rich Kid. Produced by Deezy Baby, the track serves as his first release of 2015, "Steel Here."
"As an artist, you want to affect people and I always talked about how important it is to remember that it's not about us!," she said in a press release. "We are going to serve others and it is an honor. In the real — That is what keeps me alive and keeps me humble. With the Simone Bill History; Courage to Fly out, the only one in the fall and the recent reconnection with my old cast members, I have to say... it is an honor to be able to serve ya'll and express themselves in different ways."
