The queen of Hip Hop soul adds another entry to the performance of their curriculum.

Mary J. Blige, has joined the cast of Respect, a biopic about the legendary singer Aretha Franklin.

According to Deadline, the multi-Grammy Award-winning artist has been chosen as Dinah Washington, a prominent figure on the jazz scene in the 1950s. The film is another addition to Blige's illustrious acting career, which includes two oscar nominations and three Golden Globe nominations..centered-ad {
