MC Serch Clarifies Lord Brown's Suggestion that He Wrote the Lyrics Of Rakim

It was obviously news to the God MC.

Rakim has been making the rounds of the press in support of his new book Sweat The Technique: Revelations About The Creativity of the Lyrical Genius.

During a recent interview with Shade 45, host Lord Sear asked the God MC if it was true MC Serch once wrote letters for him. Rakim was noticeably offended and threw some fighting words toward the 3rd Bass luminaire..centered-ad {

"He said he wrote something for me?" Rakim says. "Yes, I still don't know if I came. Oh, shit. No disrespect to my man Serch, but I'm going to beat my man to fuck if he's trying to say that he wrote something or I needed a little help. Not to throw some shit in the game 40 years later, the man.

"Serch, I love that man, but I will knock the shit for the shit of my legacy. Don't do that. But never".
