Mississippi Rapper Lil Lonnie Killed In A Local Shooting

LL Cool J, Juicy J and Rae Sremmurd's Slim Jxmmi send their condolences as police search for a motive and suspect.

Jackson, MS –

22 year old, rapper Lonnie Montrel Taylor, known as "Lil Lonnie," was shot dead while driving in his hometown of Jackson, Mississippi, on Sunday night (April 29).

According to news station WAPT, Jackson State University student was driving with a woman passenger on Montebello Drive at around 10:30 PM, when he was shot from behind several times, causing his SUV to crash into a house. The female passenger remained unharmed, while Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jackson Police Department has been unable to find a suspect or a motive for the murder.
