Netflix Announces Hip-Hop Documentary Series "Rapture", With Nas, T. I. & More
The eight episodes of the series, produced by Mass Appeal, will premiere in March.
Netflix has announced Rapture, a original eight episode of the documentary series that delves into the world of Hip Hop. The series is scheduled to premiere March 30.
Nas, Dave East, Just Blaze, Rapsody, Logic, T. I., G-Eazy, 2 Chainz, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie are some of the names of object of ridicule in the show's first trailer. In a press release, Netflix said the Rapture is going to allow the public to experience "of the artists, living with their families and friends, sitting in the first row on the study and the grind on the tour, to experience the ecstasy power to move the crowd."

Netflix's announcement comes just a week after SHOWTIME released the Hip-Hop of the original Word is Bond, which will be released on the 16th of February. Interestingly, both documentary directed by the famous Hip-Hop filmmaker, Sacha Jenkins.
Other directors mentioned above for the Rapture, which include Ben Selkow, Geeta Gandbhir, Steven Caple Jr., Marco A. Clarke and Gabriel Noble.
In a press release accompanying the announcement trailer, Jenkins said: "the Way back, when Hip Hop culture was in its phase of gestation, the powerful message that there is not go much beyond the five boroughs of New York City. Today, rap music is the heartbeat of Mother Earth, and Netflix is the incarnation of the eyes that sees. It is a great honor for the Mass of the Appeal to work with Netflix to produce our new series Rapture. We have been saying that Hip-Hop stories from the '96, and as the natives feel that it is our duty to do the movement justice. The ecstasy is bangin'. Up."
