No, Silento Is Not Dead

Watch it (yet) Nae Nae.

It seems that the rapper from Atlanta Silento is the latest victim of the false rumor of death. On Tuesday (June 19), someone shared the news on his Instagram page that he had died after a stabbing in a bar in Los Angeles.

In a statement to HipHopDX, Silento publicist deny that rumor, and blamed it on a hacker.

"Silento is alive and well and preparing to release his new studio album 'Fresh Outta High school," the statement says. "Unfortunately, Silento's phone was compromised, and the appropriate measures are put in place about the author. "

The music executive of Big Mike Rob took it upon himself to apologize on behalf of Silento team management via Instagram.

"@princeSilento management team along with Silento apologize for the fake, vapid post which was posted on his Instagram page," he wrote. "The account and the social media have been hacked, after him, having lost his Cell phone the previous night.

"It is disheartening to have to wake up to a horrible fake post and we apologize for all the unnecessary pain that may have caused his fans, friends and loved ones. We assure Silento is good and we thank you for your continued support."
