"One Week Notice" Of The Crew Speaks Ambitious Collaboration Ahead Of The Closing Concert

During the Long Beach concert, the crew consists of Dizzy Wright, Audio Push, Emilio Rojas, Jarren Benton, Demrick, Reezy, and producers DJ Hoppa and Kato have closed and continued rocking the crowd in the parking lot.

DXHQ – In the current microwave society, it is rare to see artists to record together. The tracks are sent through e-mail and Dropbox as rappers and producers on their lives from different corners of the world. So when nine artists met in Austin, Texas, to record an album in a week? DX I had to find out more.

Dame Ritter of Movin' and Beatstars came to the nine creators from different walks of life and put them in a house for a week in December — it was the result of One Week in advance. Dizzy Wright, Audio Push, Emilio Rojas, Jarren Benton, Demrick, Reezy, and producers DJ Hoppa and Kato teamed up to create a body of work that the majority of the collective would be difficult to create in a month. The #DXLive team was able to catch up with most of the crew before, in January, while preparing for the launch and an epic show in Long Beach that fans who attended won't soon forget.

In regards to A Week in advance, DJ Hoppa said, "there was a crib. Beatstars had a studio in Austin. Dame struck us all and said: 'meet in a week [and] try to make an album.' And we get to fuck. A Week In Advance. We recorded for five days and the last two days we were squeezing. It was like a week Hip Hop summer camp."

"It was not like bunk beds, the situation was like that of the barracks up there," says Emilio Rojas.

"This is not bunk down under a couple of these guys." Demrick adds. "It was like a music vacation ... We went to a remote place and have a good Airbnb and it was just relaxing. Then [on top of] all of us homies. All of us have made music together, so for all of us in a room where there were no distractions was very easy."
