Wu-Tang Clan's official Twitter account sent a tweet in July to declare the game an element of Hip Hop.

The announcement came with a photo of the video game controllers in the shape of the Wu-Tang "W" and a copy of PlayStation Wu Tang: Shaolin Style, which was released in 1999. Although it is not clear who actually made the statement, at least one of the members of the legendary Hip-Hop crew is down.

As RZA was on his way to San Diego Comic-con last month to promote her upcoming movie Cut Throat City, he spoke with HipHopDX about the tweet and revealed that out of 100 percent on the idea. But first, he offered a small anecdote

"During the recording process of two iconic Wu-Tang albums — Cuban Linx and Liquid Swords — PlayStation had video game that was a 3DO version of Samurai Showdown. I had to take at least six hours each day in the study. At the time, was not vegan, so it was video games, chess, turkey burgers and the music.

"You may go to any Hip Hop studio — and I mean that I've been in many studios with many of my peers — and video game systems. You get on the bus tour, EA Sports is happenin'."

Wu Tang: Shaolin Style is a game of a player is focused on the kung-fu style of fighting. Each player progresses through a series of challenges, called the 36 Chambers, a reference to the Staten Island group's seminal album, 1993's Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
