Snoop Dogg Has the Country's Top Gospel Album
Can I get an "amen?"
Even after decades in the game, Snoop Dogg is continuing to open up new paths.
The Long Beach lyricist Snoop Dogg Presents: the Bible of Love album has achieved the #1 spot on the Top Gospel Albums chart for the week of March 31.
Posted on March 16, this serves as the debut of the week in the Bible of Love-struck graphic.
Divided into Chapter One and Chapter Two, the album consists of 32 tracks. Among the artists featured on the project are the famous singer Charlie Wilson, and gospel singer Kim Burrell.
Snoop recently spoke with Essence about the motivation behind the Bible of Love.
"With all of the negativity that is going on in the world right now, I thought it was time to do something positive to bring people together," Snoop Dogg said. "I did my part to bring dark moments. Now is the time to bring to light".
The album also debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at #148, moving 5,280 equivalent album units.
