Soulja Boy Dumps Floyd Mayweather To Evander Holyfield As His Coach For Chris Brown Fight
Soulja Boy's new coach is a heavyweight in the true sense of the word.
There has been another plot-twist in the construction of the fight between Chris Brown and Soulja Boy.
Two weeks after breaking ranks with his original coach Floyd Mayweather to claim the promotion of the fight itself, Soulja Boy seems to have traded the Money for a heavyweight in the true sense of the word.
According to TMZ, Soulja promoter Wack 100 managed to get his client on the phone with the former cruiserweight and heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield.
TMZ further reported that Holyfield had a key piece of advice for new students: keep your mouth closed and let his fists speak. The famous news site reported that Holyfield believes he can coach Soulja to victory.
Holyfield was the victim of the infamous 1997 incident in which Chris Brown own trainer Mike Tyson bit off part of his opponent's ear in the ring.
We don't know if it was Soulja of the potential that led to Holyfield accepting the coach of it, or whether it was simply the mention of Holyfield's old rival Mike Tyson training of Chris Brown that called Holyfield ... ear. Apparently Tyson's name does not appear during the first telephone conversation.
Of course, neither a date nor a place has been announced for the fight, however — even with Soulja Boy showing impatience with the lack of promotion that has been done. This could be the pugilistic equivalent of Dr. Dre's Detox? What remains to be seen.
