"Star Wars" Actress Carrie Fisher, Dies At The Age Of 60

Los Angeles, CA – An icon that has gone from Carrie Fisher, known for her role as Princess Leia in the star wars franchise, died today (December 27) after suffering a heart attack last week. She was 60. The news was shared by a representative of the family to talk about Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd.
"It is with profound sadness that Billie Lourd confirmed that his beloved mother of Carrie Fisher, passed away at 8:55 this morning," Simon Halls, said in a statement to People.
Fisher first starred as the heroine galactic at the age of 19 in Star Wars: A New Hope. She went to the movie the other two installments of the original trilogy, and appeared in the final year of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She made her last appearance in Rouge: A Star Wars Story that was released earlier this month.
She was the daughter of the legendary actor Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher.
