Sting (jokingly) Predicted Juice WRLD "Lucid Dreams" income Potential

Because everyone wants their grandchildren to go to college, right?

Los Angeles, CA – Rock legend, Sting knows a thing or three about his classic records that were sampled in Hip Hop songs – a practice that can be considered as a winning formula in today.

Rookie rapper Juice Wrld is the latest artist to build a great Sting song, as their split single "Lucid Dreams" was used a sample of The Police frontman's 1993 solo hit, "Shape of My Heart", reached the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 100 chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

While Sting tells Billboard that the Juice of Wrld's runaway hit is a "beautiful interpretation that is faithful to the original song of the way," he also joked that the "Lucid Dreams" royalty "I will put my grandchildren through college."

Dominic Miller, the song's co-writer and Sting's longtime collaborator agreed, saying: "I thought that was the most intelligent version of that riff I have ever heard. I was very happy with it. I love what you are saying. Talking about something that everyone can relate to, that is a break. It is done in a very beautiful way. We are very happy for their success and, of course, also for us", and asked for the No. 1 placement of a "happy accident".
