Get to know "ICE GRL artist Saweetie as she prepares to perform at HipHopDX's showcase at SXSW.
Saweetie originally had put his dreams of becoming a rapper in the back of the stove to obtain a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of the South, until the industry of the vet, Max Gousse discovered her at a Puma event in Downtown Los Angeles. With Gousse, the 24-year-old artist released his 2017 viral the great success of the song "ICE GRL," which has caused more than 16 million views on YouTube, 8 million of steams on Spotify and earned the #1 spot in the Musical.ly application.
Since its explosive entry into the rap scene, Saweetie has made noise through multiple means of communication (including HipHopDX) and got a contract with Warner Bros Records. Now, Saweetie is determined to rewrite the rule book on rap and to break the stereotype of what it means to be a woman MC.
Saweetie is the release of her High-Maintenance debut EP on the 16th of March, which features production credits from Zaytoven and CashMoneyAp.
As Saweetie prepares to take the stage at this years SXSW music festival, HipHopDX has a chance to get to know the Sacramento native a little more before your big day.

Saweetie: No, this is going to be my first performance.
What are you most excited about performing at the festival?
The conduct of meetings and other creatives.
Do you plan on watching other performances? You are more likely to see?
Yes. In preference to others of the drug to the girls.
What has been the best and/or worst part of the preparation for the presentations?
The best part is that the choreo to bring the song to life.
What was your first show outside of his native city, and, what was the best memory of her?
Istanbul, Turkey. The best memory was the connection with the fans that don't speak my language, but I loved my songs.
