The countdown To HipHopDX At SXSW: Tyla Yahweh

Meet the 22-year-old, "Drugs and the Pain" rapper performed on the DX's sample.

Tyla Yahweh is a 22-year-old LA-based rapper who is originally from Orlando, Florida. After the recording of the songs and performing all over THE, Yahweh drew the attention of Post Malone the manager of the Dre of London, who added him to the list of management of London Ent.

With a high-energy live show and a track record with French Montana and a$AP Rocky, Yahweh has become an artist to see, especially after the publication of his "Drugs and the Pain" single. Her new single "Wild life", will be released very soon.

HipHopDX had the opportunity to chat with Yahweh, as he prepares to take the stage for the first time at SXSW this year.

HipHopDx: have you ever performed at SXSW before?

Tyla Yahweh: Nah, I have not done so. The first time.

What is the thing that most excited for performing in the festival this year?

Only doing a lot of window-shopping and meeting fans.

Do you plan on watching other performances? What are the most likely to see?

I don't know yet, will be looking out for all the world to make sure.

What has been the best and/or worst part of the preparation for the presentations?

The best part of this is that I love to do so. I love the connection you build with the fans and always want to make sure that they are having a great time.

There are thousands of performers at SXSW. Why should people come and see you?

Because I fucking rage and always put on an awesome show.

What was your first show outside of his native city, and, what was the best memory of her?

The first show that I did outside of Florida was in North Carolina, it was fun because it was the first time I crowd surfed, and the fans left me lol. The best part of it was to have the power to connect with the public.
