Two COPS shot and killed a man after being informed of a social media video.

A man was shot and killed by two police officers in Los Angeles on Saturday (October 3) after it was reported in the media, social, video that showed a man with a gun following officers of the police, the los Angeles Times reports.

The video shows a man sitting in a car with a gun in his lap, parked behind a police cruiser. After an investigation, police announced on Tuesday (6 October) that the video was a publicity stunt made by a group of Rap of the 1990s trying to make a comeback. The officials declined to name the group. The man with the gun in the video has been identified and police obtained a warrant for his arrest. The man who was killed, allegedly threw a 40 ounce beer bottle through the rear window of the police cruiser, the two officers were sitting in. The officers thought they were being shot, got out of the car and opened fire on the individual, the death of the latter.

There was no gun found in the man possession.

Gary Fullerton, the attorney representing the police department, defended the officers actions.

"The officers feel very, very vulnerable out there right now," he says. "They feel that at any moment someone might attack them. The officers feel terrible because they were 100 percent convinced that the man was shooting at them."
