The souls of Mischief's Tajai Launches Fundraiser For Panama Hotel

#DXCLUSIVE: the Bay Area Hip-Hop vet is also preparing the self-titled debut album from his new group of RAP NOIR.

Santa Catalina, Panama – the Souls Of Mischief and Hieroglyphics MC Tajai Massey has launched an Indiegogo campaign for the Hibiscus Garden, its recently acquired Panama hotel. Located near the town of Santa Catalina, the boutique resort features 19 rooms, a private beach, horses, an award-winning restaurant and more.

According to the campaign's web site, Massey is the hope of raising a "base level of $55,000.00 to build a small swimming pool to cool off in, recording studio and a Yoga Shala." Above all, it hopes to create a space where people can relax and take advantage of their creativity.

"I am very excited to be at a point in life where I can use my creative power to assist others to create," Tajai said in a statement to HipHopDX. "I hope to make an already amazing place even more charming. This is a fact unprecedented, or at least extremely rare, move for Hip-Hop and to people in general.

"I hope to bring about a paradigm shift in travel, where people go somewhere to really relax, get in tune with yourself and be as creative and free as they can be. I want to connect the body, mind and spirit through creativity, and meditative practices, good food and a beautiful sustainable environment."

As the veteran Bay Area rapper says on the website Indiegogo, "this is the moment to make [the Hibiscus Garden] more green, take it off-grid, and update with specialty offers that will make you more comfortable, sustainable and accessible".

In addition to their fundraising efforts, Massey is also promoting his new RAP group NOIR — which also features Psalm One, Beeda Weeda, co-Heiro, MC Casual and Naté Soul Singer and his upcoming album of the same name. The past month of July, the RAP NOIR dropped a video for "Let It Rain" as well as "Beware!!!" unique.

The collective plans to release "overtime" and the "take-Off" with Pep Love as in the following two singles in the very near future.

The project is expected to arrive in Septe
