"Wu-Tang Clan: An American Saga Of" The Origin Of The Series Coming To Hulu

RZA ad Method Man, both will serve as executive producers.

Hulu has commissioned 10 episodes of the series Wu-Tang Clan origins. According to Variety, the aptly titled Wu-Tang Clan: An American Saga inspired by The Wu-Tang Manual and the Tao of Wu — two books written by RZA — and pulls the Wu the story of the real life.

Set in the decade of the 90's during the crack epidemic, the series traces the legendary Hip-Hop group of the formation and rise to notoriety.

The series is created, written and executive produced by Alex Tse — who wrote the Superfly remake – and Wu-Tang visionary RZA. Fellow Killer Bee Method Man is also in the role of executive producer. Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, GZA, as well as the estate of Ol' Dirty Bastard are consulting producers on the project.

"I am delighted to be working with Hulu, and to Imagine exploring the vast history of the Wuniverse," RZA said Variety. "Wu-Tang through our music has always strived to inspire as to entertain. This opportunity to continue with the Wu saga in 10 episodes of the series will exponentially increase our inspirational style of entertainment. In the immortal words of ODB, "Wu-Tang is for the Children.'"

So far, no release date has been announced.
