XXXTENTACION just broke a record previously held by The Notorious B. I. G., according to Billboard.
After the controversial rapper shot to death last Monday (June 18), his album sales soared, and, as a result, "SAD!" moved from #52 to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This marks the first posthumous #1 of a soloist from Biggie's 1997 hit "Mo Money Mo Problems." It is also X the only song to reach the top of the table.
Nielsen Music tracking reports "SAD!" earned 48.9 million of streams, 26,000 downloads and 2.9 million radio audience impressions for the week that ended on 21 June, resulting in the #1 placement.
The afternoon Florida native also broke a world a day of Spotify record on Tuesday (June 19). X last album, ?, collection of 10.4 million flows on a world level.
X was murdered outside of the RIVA motor sports in Deerfield Beach, where he was trying to buy a motorcycle. One of the suspects, Dedrick D. Williams, has been arrested and two others are believed to still be at large.
