Azealia Banks & Common Feature In the Trailer For RZA's "Love Beats and Rhymes"
The RZA-directed film hits theaters December 1.
Movie fans are finally getting their first look of the RZA-directed film, the Love of Beats and Rhymes. A trailer of the film, which will premiere on December 1, was uploaded to YouTube this week.
The love Beats Rhymes stars controversial Harlem musician azealia Banks, and also counts with the participation of Jill Scott, Method Man, and Common.
"What I always wanted was to be a rapper. I want people to fall in love with my words," Banks says at the start of the trailer.
The musical drama of the centers of Coco, an aspiring Hip Hop artist who discovers the world of slam poetry, and to try to balance school and music.
"This is my first film, my first leading role," the Banks said in a recent Instagram caption. "I've worked hard on this and I'm excited to see what doors open up after this.
Love Beats and Rhymes will be in Select Theaters, on Digital and On Demand on December 1. Available on DVD on the 2nd of January. This is my first film, my first leading role. I have worked hard on this and I'm excited to see what doors open up after this.

The film was announced for the first time in 2015, then in 2016, the relationship between RZA and the Banks took a rocky turn after Banks claims that she was choked by the actor Russell Crowe at a hotel party she attended as a guest of RZA.
RZA later stated that he should have kept a better eye on the Benches during the match and that he was not aware of his "mental problems."
