Barack Obama Lists Travis Scott, SZA & JAY-Z Songs Among Their Favorites From 2017
Barack Obama's, 2017 list is, unsurprisingly lit.
Barack Obama may no longer be commander-in-chief, but that did not stop the former president from sharing his annual list of his favorite books and songs.
"During my presidency, I began a tradition of sharing my reading lists and playlists," Barack Obama wrote before sharing the pair of lists. "It was a nice way to reflect on the works that resonated with me and pick up the authors and artists from around the world. With a little bit of extra time on my hands this year to catch up, I wanted to share the books and music that I enjoyed most. Of the songs that put me in motion the stories that inspired me, here is my list of 2017."
Obama shared the list in the New Year's Eve, and the music of the portion as you would expect Hip-Hop heavy, featuring artists such as JAY-Z, DJ Khaled, and French Montana make the list of more than a dozen songs.
Among the rest of the songs are Chance The Rapper "Problems of the First World," DJ Khaled's "Wild Thoughts," JAY-Z "Family Feud," and Travis Scott's "Butterfly Effect."
JAY-Z was previously listed to Obama's workout playlist, courtesy of his Blueprint 3 track, "Off".
Obama also included SZA "Broken Clocks" and the biggest hit of his rapper favorite: Kendrick Lamar "HUMBLE".
